Job summary

Tooele County School District is seeking a Head Coach for Track at Grantsville High School. You will instruct students in fundamental track skills, develop sport-specific drills, and guide practice planning to boost team performance.

You will motivate student-athletes to excel in academics and athletics, oversee trips, and participate in pep rallies, scheduling, and budget adherence. You will work with assistant coaches and maintain equipment for the season.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Familiar with the rules and regulations of the sport/activity.
• Experience as an athlete and/or coach.
• Work closely with program assistant coaches.
• Ability to motivate, teach, and lead.
• Energetic, responsible, dependable, self motivated and punctual.
• Excellent public relations skills and work with staff, parents and administration.
• Experience working with teens and willingness to supervise on trips, camps and competitions.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students in fundamental skills of the sport/activity and develops drill and practice activities.
• Creates coachable environments emphasizing teamwork and individual guidance.
• Develops practice plans and training rules for players.
• Motivates students to excel academically and athletically.
• Oversees trips/events and assists in scheduling within district budget.
• Supports hiring and instruction of assistant coaches and maintains equipment.
