Job summary

Weber High School in Pleasant View, Utah is seeking a Track Head Coach for after-school hours. This position supports the athletics program by coaching, mentoring students, and fostering teamwork.

The coach will teach fundamentals, promote academic and athletic excellence, and serve as a positive role model. Must be 21+, with a high school diploma; prior coaching is preferred. The job remains open until filled.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preference will be given to candidates who are certified district employees or have completed the State Athletic Certification program.
• Previous coaching experience is preferred; varsity or collegiate-level experience is highly desirable.
• Employment is at will and may be ended by either party at any time for any lawful reason.

Responsibilities

• Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and the community, promoting teamwork and collaboration among all groups.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge and understanding of the sport/field.
• Provide instruction on fundamental skills and strategies to student-athletes.
• Motivate and inspire students to excel both academically and athletically.
• Maintain professionalism and serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.
