Job summary

Young World Physical Education seeks an Athletic Coach (Certified CCPS Employee) for assistant soccer duties with the Clayton Public School system. Qualifications

• Certified employee in a teaching/administrative role or certified paraprofessional with GHSA/NCSS certifications.
• Experience in coaching or playing the sport is preferred.
• Experience with equipment inventory and scheduling is preferred.
• Ability to manage projects and duties with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage time and priorities.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with safety precautions and injury prevention awareness.
• Frequent travel for off-site competition/training.
• Work environment includes office, school grounds, and stadiums with outdoor work 70%+.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and coaches K-12 students on fundamentals of sports and helps set team rules and procedures.
• Oversees or assists Head Coach with athlete registration and equipment issuance.
• Coordinates try-outs and practice schedules under Head Coach supervision.
• Monitors athletes and teams; promotes student participation appropriate to ability.
• Collaborates with staff and partners to monitor impact on healthy lifestyles and delivery.
• Performs additional duties as assigned to support coaching operations.
