Job summary

Southeast Dubois County School Corporation in Indiana is seeking a Boys Freshman Basketball Coach at Forest Park Jr/Sr High School to develop athletes, teach fundamental skills, and foster teamwork and sportsmanship.

You will oversee practice planning, coordinate with the athletic director and principals, uphold school policies, mentor student athletes, and promote safe, positive conduct while advancing the basketball program within the community.

Qualifications

• Has ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport.
• The coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and stay updated with new theories.
• The coach must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through instruction and actions.

Responsibilities

• Understands and enforces athletic policies approved by the district and ensures staff compliance.
• Oversees staff coaches, coordinates coaching duties across programs with athletic director.
• Adheres to proper channels for requests, meetings, and communications within the athletic department.
