Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Delivery Specialist to transport orders to customers safely and on time, using a company vehicle, while delivering friendly, professional service.

You may also assist in the Yard to meet weekly hours goals and support a proactive, customer-focused team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, cabinets, doors, windows, furniture and other large items that need to be handled with care.
• Valid driving record; some states may require a chauffeur, class C or class D license.
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment preferred.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Friendly, customer-service-driven personality.

Responsibilities

• Transport orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle.
• Ensure daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist in the Yard when deliveries slow to reach weekly hours goals.

Description

As one of our Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. If deliveries slow down, you have the opportunity to help in the Yard to ensure you reach your weekly hours goal.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, cabinets, doors, windows, furniture, appliances and other large items that need to be handled with care
• An acceptable driving record (some states require a chauffeur, class C or class D license)
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
