Job summary

Carter Lumber in Vineland, NJ is seeking a Delivery Specialist to transport orders to customers safely and on time using a company vehicle, while providing friendly and professional service. You’ll ensure daily delivery schedules are met and assist customers at drop-offs with courtesy.

When deliveries slow, you may help in the Yard to reach weekly hours and contribute to a growth-minded, family-owned company that prioritizes reliability and putting people first.

Qualifications

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture and other large items that need to be handled with care.
• An acceptable driving record with the appropriate license for your state
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player and provide friendly, customer-service-driven service

Responsibilities

• Transport orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service during delivery.

Description

As one of our Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. If deliveries slow down, you have the opportunity to help in the Yard to ensure you reach your weekly hours goal.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture, appliances and other large items that need to be handled with care
• An acceptable driving record (some states require a chauffeur, class C or class D license)
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
• A friendly, customer-service-driven personality
