Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a delivery driver to make customer deliveries using company-provided or rental vehicles. You will maintain delivery records, inspect vehicles, and ensure customer satisfaction on order and delivery issues.

This role requires operating a company or rental vehicle and maintaining an acceptable MVR status and valid driver’s license. The position involves on-site deliveries within a service area, adhering to safety regulations and coordinating with the distribution center as

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

Delivers customer orders safely within a service area, including interfacing with customers on order issues.
Loads inventory into trucks and unloads orders at customer sites using material handling equipment.
Reviews order manifests to ensure customer orders and daily routes are complete and accurate.
Performs pre- and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and internal policies.
Maintains routine contact with the distribution center to receive instructions on delivery interruptions.
Prepares and maintains vehicle and customer order records per company policies.
Contacts customers to provide updates on delivery statuses.
Provides feedback to management on escalated customer service and sales-related issues.
