Job summary

HD Supply in Peoria, IL is seeking a delivery driver to make customer deliveries using company-provided or rental vehicles. You will load/unload, provide customer service, and maintain delivery records while adhering to safety and DOT standards.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, an acceptable MVR, 2–5 years in distribution or delivery, and a clean driving record with no more than 2 minor accidents or 2 moving violations in the last 3 years. HS diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and acceptable MVR status.
• 2–5 years of experience in delivery or distribution.
• No more than 2 minor accidents in the past rolling 3 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past rolling 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Delivers customer orders safely within a service area and interfaces with customers on order issues.
• Loads inventory into trucks and unloads orders at customer sites using material handling equipment.
• Reviews order manifests to ensure accuracy of customer orders and routes.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and internal policies.
• Maintains contact with the distribution center for delivery updates and interruptions.
• Prepares and maintains vehicle and customer order records.
• Contacts customers to provide delivery status updates.
• Provides feedback to management on escalated issues.
