Job summary

OWS Foods in Concordia, MO, is seeking a forklift-savvy operator for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm - 1:30 am, Monday–Thursday). You will prepare machines, manage packaging materials, and perform quality checks while maintaining logs and paperwork.

You will use various computer programs and support a safe, compliant production environment. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED and strong computer skills; preferred candidates have forklift experience and at least 2+ years in a food

Description

This position requires creative and innovative thinking, knowledge of packaging material, date code requirements, computer systems and related mechanical understanding of machine operation.

This opening is for a 2nd shift - 10 hour schedule working 3:00 pm - 1:30 am, Monday thru Thursday

Essential Functions of the Position:

• Prepare machine for startup and shutdown procedures on a daily basis, follow production schedule, and perform operator adjustments, quality checks, and repairs to machine as needed.
• Determine packaging material requirements for specific scheduled jobs, maintain logs for downtime, and complete all required paperwork.
• Adhere to QA processes and procedures related to Food Defense, HACCP, and Allergens, as well as all safety training and requirements to ensure all related policies and procedures are followed.
• Will need to operate forklift for materials.
• Work with numerous computer programs.

Requirements

Minimum:

• High school degree, GED, or equivalent required
• Good computer skills in Microsoft Suite, Google products and various other programs
• Ability to work alone or as a member of a team, good cooperative skills and may require flexibility in scheduling

Preferred:

• Above average mechanical skills
• Forklift experience (sit down/stand-up)
• Detail oriented and a quick learner with the ability to work within deadlines
• 2+ years operational experience in a food manufacturing environment
