Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and assists ticket sellers during event days/nights, which includes but is not limited to aiding with the sale process and troubleshooting mobile ticket issues and other ticketing needs.
  • Delegates job duties, prepares cash drawers, and calculates the daily ticket sales at the end of the shift.
  • Maintain and audit cash vault balance for accuracy, calculate daily revenue to coincide with receipts, and prepare and verify deposits accordingly.
  • Share responsibilities with other supervisors to include preparing ticket sellers’ schedules, updating window displays, supervising will call and preparing guest services relocations, handling promoter inquiries, and running reports for events.
  • Compiles end‑of‑day reports to be used by the finance department.
  • Aids guests either in person or via telephone with any questions and/or problems that have been relayed by the ticket sellers.

Position Summary

The Box Office Supervisor oversees the event day operations of the Box Office, supervises box office ticket sellers, reinforces a guest-friendly attitude, handles guest inquiries and/or complaints, assists in preparing financial reports, and is responsible for opening and closing the box office at the PeoplesBank Arena and Pratt & Whitney Stadium.

This role pays an hourly rate of $17.50-$18.50.

The PeoplesBank Arena is Connecticut’s premier destination for sports & entertainment. The 15,000+ seat downtown arena is home to the eleven‑time National Champion UConn Women's Basketball team and the six‑time National Champion UConn Men's Basketball team.
