Job summary

Marcus Theatres is hiring at a Virginia location. We seek friendly, guest-focused team members for box office and concessions roles in a fast-paced cinema environment.

You will greet guests, process transactions, manage loyalty sign-ups, and upsell concessions while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Benefits include flexible or set schedules and the opportunity to transfer between Marcus properties.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability including Tuesdays, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to industry demands.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, team-driven setting.
• Passion for hospitality and food service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Physically able to stand, walk, lift up to 35 lbs.
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality or fast food settings or as cashier/host/greeter is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, complete transactions, loyalty sign-ups, and express appreciation.
• Operate point-of-sale systems accurately and manage cash, tickets, and change securely.
• Enforce theatre policies, including curfew rules and movie rating restrictions.
• Promote sales through upselling, suggestive selling, and product sampling.
• Provide and operate assistive movie-going equipment for guests as needed.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked box office and perform routine upkeep tasks.
• Address guest questions and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
• Support company standards and assist with tasks assigned by management.
• Support a culture of cleanliness by consistently following and reinforcing company cleaning standards.

• Experience in restaurants, hospitality or fast food settings or experience as a cashier, host, hostess, greeter, ticket seller, or door person is a plus but not required.
