Job summary

Kessler Hotels in Greenville, SC is seeking a Restaurant Server to deliver the highest quality service in a courteous and efficient manner. You will take guest orders, deliver meals, and process payments while maintaining knowledge of menus and daily specials.

Expected to upsell items, uphold cleanliness standards, and perform opening/closing duties. Flexibility with schedules and the ability to stand for long periods are required to excel in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work—exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift and maneuver throughout dining area with full trays.

Responsibilities

• Provide highest quality service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.
• Receive and deliver guests orders and collect payment.
• Be familiar with menus, current specials, and outlet operations.
• Upsell food, beverage, and promotional items to guests.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and side-work duties as assigned.
• Maintain tables and side stands stocked, tidy and clean.
