Job summary

International House Hotel in New Orleans seeks a Sales Manager to build relationships, coordinate with hotel departments, and transform inquiries into memorable guest experiences. You will manage groups of 8–20 rooms from inquiry to departure, responding quickly to RFPs and driving revenue while delivering exceptional service.

You will work closely with the Director of Sales to generate new business, maximize revenue, and ensure every event is executed with meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Two or more years of sales experience; hospitality sales experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in hotel sales, catering, or group services preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel sales and property management systems preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as business demands require.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to inquiries and RFPs; drive group sales and conversions.
• Manage assigned groups with 8–20 rooms; oversee inquiries through departure.
• Conduct property tours, presentations, and client meetings.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and convert opportunities into confirmed business.
• Solicit new business across group, corporate, leisure, catering, travel, and other market segments.
• Collaborate with Director of Sales to maximize lead response and bookings.
