Job summary

Avocet Hospitality Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their historic property in Charleston. This role involves caring for and preserving all areas of the hotel, ensuring functionality of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems while maintaining aesthetics.

The ideal candidate has over a year of maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality, and is skilled with hand/power tools. Flexibility in working schedule is essential, as well as the ability to lift and navigate different environments.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Skilled with hand/power tools and self-motivated.
• Ability to stand/walk for an entire shift and lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform routine maintenance across electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Handle painting and drywall touch-ups.
• Execute ongoing room preventative maintenance programs.

Skills

Maintenance experience

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

EPA/HVAC certification
