Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a Hotel Engineer to maintain and repair building systems and equipment at our Palm Springs property. You will manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and related components, performing repairs, installations, and routine upkeep to ensure guest comfort and safety.

Ideal candidates have hotel maintenance experience or equivalent, a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, and a proactive approach to guest services and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience as a hotel engineer or comparable maintenance experience in a hotel or similar facility.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all equipment, systems and building components (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, pumps, locks).
• Repair and paint hotel areas as needed.
• Install and replace lighting fixtures and bulbs.
• Inspect machinery and equipment and listen for abnormal sounds to diagnose issues.
• Dismantle defective machines and install repaired parts.
• Maintain hotel infrastructure and furniture fixtures.
• Attend training sessions and meetings.
• Assist in delivering and setting up new equipment such as TVs and mattresses.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor on projects and guest requests.
