Marcus Hotels & Resorts’ HOTEL PASEO, Autograph Collection in Palm Desert seeks a Cook I to prepare station-specific items, ensure consistent quality, and mentor junior staff while maintaining cleanliness and health standards.

The role supports both full-time and part-time schedules at a boutique desert resort featuring dining options and resort amenities. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualificações

• Previous cooking experience required, minimum of 3 years in a similar position preferred, Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use all kitchen equipment, i.e., knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull weights up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods, work in a confined space with high levels of noise and frequent interruptions, and perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
• Ability to obtain any local, state or federal license or certification for sanitation, liquor service, or food service certification.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare station-specific food items according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Monitor product storage, portion sizes, and special items like stocks and sauces.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas to meet Health Department regulations.
• Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and operational.
• Uphold high standards of food production and presentation.
• Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Manage station setup, breakdown, and prep work.
• Follow recipe specifications for all food preparation.
