Job summary

The Melrose Georgetown Hotel in Washington, DC seeks a Complex Sales Manager to maximize occupancy and revenue for both Melrose Georgetown and Churchill Hotel properties. You will lead outside sales calls, proposals, and negotiate with corporate, diplomatic, and wholesale accounts.

This full-time role reports to the Directors of Sales & Marketing, requires strong communication and negotiation skills, and offers a competitive six-figure salary with potential bonuses. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel sales experience with demonstrated ability to meet sales goals and grow account production.
• Business transient, diplomatic or wholesale segments experience preferred.
• Comfort prospecting outside the hotel—outside sales calls, visits, and relationship building are core.

Responsibilities

• Conduct aggressive sales solicitation; 80% of time in active sales.
• Assist DOS in annual marketing plan and action plans for market segments.
• Send proposals and follow through to convert to definite status; book space promptly.
• Outline booking sheets with room blocks, meeting space, and special requirements.
• Record and route all group details and arrangements; collaborate with catering.
