Job summary

The Draftsman, Charlottesville, Autograph Collection is seeking a Front Desk Agent. You will warmly welcome guests, manage check-ins/outs, handle payments, and provide local insights to ensure a smooth stay in a boutique, pet-friendly environment.

Staffing includes flexibility for weekend shifts, with a focus on accuracy, guest satisfaction, and team collaboration. 150 rooms, rooftop fitness, and a central location near UVA add to a dynamic, historic setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for extended periods.

• Maintain composure and good judgment under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Check guests in and out of the hotel according to brand standards.
• Inform guests about facilities, policies, and local attractions.
• Operate the hotel phone system and route calls to departments.
• Take, modify and cancel guestroom reservations as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest requests and special arrangements.
• Post charges to guest accounts and handle cashier duties.
• Notify housekeeping/maintenance of reported issues with rooms or grounds.
• Follow security procedures and know hotel emergency protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Front Office area.
