Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Boston, MA. The PACU RN provides specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery, assessing recovery, implementing care plans, and coordinating discharge instructions.

The role requires a PACU RN with at least one year of experience, active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a PACU RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients transferring from the operating room and evaluate post-anesthesia condition.
• Monitor vital signs, consciousness level, and recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per PACU nursing techniques.
• Develop and deliver patient and family education on discharge and recovery guidelines.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure comprehensive post-operative care.
