Job summary

Wonder is seeking a Senior Manager, Mechanical Engineering in Boston to lead hardware development for our next-generation beverage platform. You will start from concept to production while building and guiding a team of mechanical engineers.

You will collaborate with software, operations, and culinary teams to ensure the system meets specs, manage project timelines, and maintain design documentation throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical engineering product development experience in industrial automation.
• 2+ years in staff or leadership role.
• Experience in beverages and/or automation preferred.
• Ability to lead a mechanical engineering team and own difficult parts of a project.
• Experience turning designs into production with minimal prototype iterations.
• Strong CAD skills and CAD best-practices education.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware design and development of the flagship beverage automation product.
• Collaborate with Software, Ops, Culinary, and product teams to meet specs.
• Manage a team of 3–4 mechanical engineers and foster accountability.
• Document design decisions and history; drive timelines to hit deadlines.
• Provide technical guidance to the product team and iterate from concept to production.
