Job summary

Wonder in Boston is seeking a motivated Software Engineer, Robotics to design, program, and commission software for automated machinery. You will work closely with senior engineers to implement controls for cutting-edge restaurant automation products, programming PLCs, motion, and I/O systems.

The role is hands-on, with direct impact on machine progress and product success. Candidates typically have 1–3 years in software roles, familiarity with Structured Text, C++, Python, and hardware

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 1–3 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with hardware interfacing and robotics is desired.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and debug control software for automated systems using PLCs and PC-based control.
• Program PLCs (Structured Text) and integrate sensors and actuators.
• Collaborate with senior controls and software engineers to implement control solutions.
• Verify in lab to ensure safe, reliable machine operation.
