Job summary

HDR, Inc. in Boston is seeking a Project Architect to lead healthcare architecture projects, coordinating multi-discipline teams from concept design through construction. The role oversees deliverables, schedules, and client relations.

You will mentor junior staff, implement QA/QC, and contribute to marketing and project reviews with finance and leadership. Registration as an Architect in a US jurisdiction is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Architecture or closely related field with 5 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years of experience.
• 2 years of project management experience.
• Experience in healthcare projects, sustainable design, scheduling, and listed software.
• Registered Architect (US jurisdiction).
• May require weekly overnight travel to client project sites in the Northeastern United States.
• HDR positions in the US may be subject to background checks and/or pre-employment drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination across multiple disciplines for large or complex projects from concept through closeout.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently with attention to schedule and budget.
• Establish and maintain client relations; participate in marketing, meetings, and design reviews.
• Develop, review, and coordinate architectural drawings and specifications for all project phases.
• Lead architectural coordination meetings and mentor junior staff; ensure deliverables are on time and within budget.
• Track financials and adjust team workload; implement QA/QC procedures and contribute to periodic project reviews.
