Job summary

HDR is seeking a Project Architect to lead multidiscipline design teams and deliver architectural contract documents for healthcare, educational, civic, science and research facilities. You will coordinate with owners, consultants and code officials, ensure QA/QC, and manage project correspondence and specifications while advancing HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 5 years experience in architecture or related discipline.
• Registered Architect.
• Proficient with Autodesk Revit and related tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills.
• Experience in preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and specifications.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule).
• Graphic presentation skills.
• Active participation in an employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidiscipline team and perform layout and detailing on architectural projects.
• Coordinate work of a multidiscipline team through multiple project phases.
• Establish owner/client and internal meetings; participate in code compliance reviews.
• Conduct work sessions at project sites with Project Manager and other disciplines.
• Coordinate workload to complete documents on schedule.
• Review documents for conflicts across disciplines; perform QA/QC.
• Write and edit architectural specifications.
• Coordinate with disciplines on addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders.
• Incorporate agreed changes into project documents; lead projects in dual roles as needed.
• Provide construction contract administration as needed.
