Job summary

NBBJ's Boston studio is seeking a highly collaborative Healthcare Project Architect to join our team. You will lead architectural design and project delivery for healthcare facilities, coordinating with a diverse team from concept through construction.

The role emphasizes strong communication, mentorship, and the ability to translate design concepts into workable construction systems while maintaining design intent. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in the architectural field.
• Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree.
• Proven ability to work within a highly collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Experience with healthcare projects is strongly desired, not required.
• Architectural Licensure; LEED or other sustainability accreditation preferred.
• Willingness to travel as required by the project.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients and team members to identify objectives, develop options, and formulate creative solutions.
• Interpret design concepts by collaborating with project team and translate them into workable construction systems and detailing, while maintaining design intent and advocating for design excellence.
• Prepare and maintain documentation and deliverables from schematic design through construction administration.
• Lead and coordinate the work of other team members and consultants, providing direction, guidance, and mentoring as appropriate.
• Participate in marketing efforts, including proposal development, presentations, and client interviews.
