Job summary

LJA Utilities is hiring a Bore Operator to operate heavy equipment such as directional drills and Hydro-Vac units and to support daily field operations with strict adherence to safety procedures.

Candidates should have at least one year of equipment experience, a valid driver's license (CDL preferred), and be physically capable of outdoor work. Willingness to travel and strong communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of safely operating machinery including directional drills, Vac-Tron or Hydro-Vac.
• Must have a valid driver license (CDL preferred).
• Able to bend, climb, and squat to perform duties in the field.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 80 pounds.
• Must be 21 years or older and willing to travel for project sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate directional drills, Vac-Tron or Hydro-Vac equipment.
• Load and unload equipment from transport vehicles.
• Follow all safety requirements and use protective equipment.
• Read and execute job scope, decode standard utility markings, and locate neighboring facilities.
