Job summary

Qualifications

• GS-5 requires 3 years general experience or 1 year at GS-4, or a bachelor’s degree.
• GS-7 requires 1 year of specialized experience or equivalent education.
• GS-9 requires progressive specialized experience or graduate education options.

Responsibilities

• Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
• Enforcing the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
• Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances.
• Determining the admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States.
• Preventing illegal entry and the smuggling of contraband.
