Qualifications

• Specialized Experience in law enforcement or other responsible work demonstrating ability to make arrests and exercise sound judgment in use of firearms.
• Ability to analyze information rapidly and decide on appropriate law enforcement action in light of laws and procedures.
• Develop and maintain a network of informants and contacts.
• Interpret and enforce immigration or related laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning persons suspected of violating immigration or customs laws and inspecting documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance from covert positions.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using Government assets.
• Responding to incidents and performing routine checks to support USBP mission.
