Responsibilities

• Protect America's borders by enforcing immigration and nationality laws and inspecting documents.
• Prevent illegal entry of aliens and smugglers near borders using various assets, including night operations with infrared scopes.
• Detect and apprehend individuals violating customs and immigration laws, and perform patrols using government assets such as vehicles, vessels, and on-foot patrols.
