Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required to apply.
- One year of general work experience OR education substitution to qualify for GL-5.
- Bachelor's degree or completion of a full four-year course of study qualifies for GL-5.
- Combination of general experience and education may apply per the notice.
Responsibilities
- Detect and question people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspect documents.
- Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night-vision gear.
- Interpret tracks, evidence, and enforce laws during patrols and checks.
- Patrol the international boundary and coastal waterways using diverse government assets.
