U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks Border Patrol Agents (BPAs) to help protect the United States by preventing illegal entry while facilitating lawful travel and trade.

The agency is urgently hiring for full-time, entry and mid-level, career BPA positions where education or prior safety/public safety experience may qualify. Training provided at the Border Patrol Academy and potential for advancement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of immigration and nationality law and related policy.
• Familiarity with use of force policy and firearms proficiency.
• Understanding of criminal law and investigative procedures.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration violations and inspect documents.
• Patrol borders and waterways using vehicles and equipment to ensure security.
• Respond to incidents, perform checks, and identify potential threats.
