U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is urgently hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPAs) to protect the United States and enforce immigration and customs laws. Positions include entry and mid-level career paths with incentives, comprehensive benefits, and clear advancement potential.

Training and deployment to prioritized duty locations are available. Selected BPAs will receive competitive base pay, health and retirement benefits, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan.

Formación

• Knowledge of immigration and nationality law.
• Knowledge of use of force policy and firearm safety.
• Knowledge of criminal law and procedure.
• Skill in using physical restraint techniques and firearms.
• Skill in basic operation of a motor vehicle.

Responsabilidades

• Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of immigration and customs violations.
• Apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Interpreting tracks, marks, and other evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Performing farm, building, traffic, city, and transport checks.
• Patrolling borders using vehicles, horses, vessels, and other assets.
