Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and remain composed under stress.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study from an accredited college or university.
• Combination of general work experience AND college education may qualify.
• Note: eligibility spans across GL-5 to GL-9/GS-11 levels depending on experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Detect immigration and customs violations and inspect documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented individuals and smugglers using surveillance and night operations.
• Interpret tracks, marks, and evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks during patrols.
• Patrol borders and coastal waterways using diverse assets to fulfill mission.
