Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and stay calm under stress.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree.
• A combination of general work experience AND college education, as evidenced by your resume and transcripts.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question people suspected of violating immigration laws and inspect documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near the border using surveillance and covert observation.
• Interpret tracks, marks, and other evidence of illegal entry to identify individuals or contraband.
• Perform farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
• Patrol the international boundary and coastal waterways using government assets.
