U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPA) across entry and mid-level grades. BPAs secure U.S.

borders, inspect documents, and conduct patrols with a variety of assets to safeguard national security and support lawful travel and trade. Salary scales span several grades with base pay from $51,632 to $124,717 per year. Recruitment incentives up to $20,000 plus potential retention incentives are offered.

Competenze

• One year of general work experience demonstrating the ability to make sound decisions and stay calm in stressful situations.
• A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study from an accredited college or university.
• Combination of experience and education may also qualify.

Mansioni

• Detect and question people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspect documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Patrol the international boundary and coastal areas using a range of assets to deter illegal activity.
• Interpret and follow tracks, marks, and other evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
