Responsibilities

• Detect individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspect documents.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers using surveillance and patrol methods.
• Interpret tracks, marks, and evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks.
• Patrol borders and waterways using vehicles, horses, vessels, and other assets to fulfill CBP mission.
