U.S. Customs and Border Protection seeks Border Patrol Agents (BPA) across multiple grades. This Federal LE position offers a path from GL-5 to GS-11 with formal academy training, strong benefits, and recruitment/retention incentives.

Successful candidates may qualify based on education or relevant public safety experience. Base salary varies by grade from $51,632 up to $124,717 annually, with incentives including a $20,000 recruitment bonus and up to $30,000 retention over three years.

Formación

• Knowledge of Immigration and Nationality Law and related policies.
• Experience or substitution options for GL-5/7/9/11 levels described; formal training included.

Responsabilidades

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers.
• Interpreting tracks and evidence of illegal entry; performing various checks.
• Patrolling borders and using government assets to fulfill the USBP mission.
