Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in stressful situations.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree.
• Combination of general work experience and education may qualify per resume/transcripts submitted with the application.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and infrared scopes.
• Interpreting tracks, marks, and physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Performing farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks.
• Patrolling borders and waterways using vehicles, horses, vessels, and off-road assets.
