Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Mechanical Project Execution team in Orlando, FL. You will oversee Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment from proposal through startup, ensuring equipment specs, designs, and quality meet project requirements.

You will collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers, support proposals, and lead design reviews, FATs, and commissioning activities to drive successful power generation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment design and project execution.
• Knowledge of fuel gas systems, pumps, control valves, cooling water systems, and related equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication for cross-functional teams.
• Experience with supplier evaluations, FAT, and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop technical specifications and MDLs with proposals and bids.
• Lead technical design reviews and track engineering documentation.
• Support commissioning, FATs, and startup activities.
