Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. in Orlando, FL seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to oversee Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment from proposal through startup. You will coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure specs, design accuracy, and quality meet project requirements.

The role requires a B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, 5+ years of BOP design and project execution, and proven ability to lead design reviews, FATs, and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment design, engineering, and project execution.
• Strong knowledge of BOP equipment design, sizing, and application requirements (fuel gas systems, pumps, control valves, cooling water systems).
• Excellent communication and collaboration across engineering, procurement, suppliers, and customers.
• Experience supporting supplier evaluations, design reviews, FAT, and commissioning activities.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee BOP equipment through the entire project lifecycle from proposal development to startup.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure equipment specs, designs, and quality.
• Lead technical design reviews with suppliers and timely submission/review of engineering documents.
• Conduct FATs to verify equipment performance and compliance with project requirements.
• Support commissioning and startup activities and respond to RFIs, PCMs, and field design requests.
• Coordinate with Proposals Department to develop technical solutions and project proposals.
