Lucchese Bootmaker is seeking a Heel Setter to join our finishing team. You will operate machinery to trim and shape leather heels, align and attach heels to boot soles, and ensure quality through sanding and finishing.

The role emphasizes precision, adherence to tickets, and safe, efficient production within a full-time schedule. The position requires standing for extended periods, lift requirements up to 50 pounds, and overtime as production needs.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years in boot manufacturing.
• Ability to read and follow production tickets/work orders.
• Willingness to work overtime as production demands require.

Responsabilidades

• Remove boot from rack and verify correct size/style.
• Identify gender and heel part number from ticket.
• Apply cement to heel and outsole.
• Align and check both sides for evenness after heel placement.
• Hammer to secure nails on boot bottom; ensure heel is flush.
• Inspect heel, sand and shape to required height/angle.
• Apply glue, wait for dry, then fit rubber cap on heel.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow safety guidelines.
