Job summary

Lucchese Bootmaker is seeking a Fancy Stitcher in El Paso to perform decorative and precision stitching on boot components. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to operate industrial sewing machines following patterns and quality specs.

Work is in a full-time production environment with a Monday–Friday schedule and possible overtime. Experience with leather or footwear is highly valued and bilingual English/Spanish abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial sewing machines and leather goods preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, patterns, and production specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and precision in stitching.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines to perform decorative and specialty stitching on boot components.
• Follow patterns, designs, samples, and detailed work orders accurately.
• Position and align leather pieces before and during stitching.
• Maintain consistent stitch length, tension, and alignment for quality appearance.
• Inspect finished pieces to ensure quality standards are met.
• Identify and correct stitching defects and misalignment.
• Perform basic machine adjustments (thread tension, needles, settings).
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining high quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Communicate production or quality concerns with team and supervisors.
