Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Build Supervisor for Booster Structures Manufacturing in Hawthorne. You will lead a propulsion technicians and welders team to build a brand-new subassembly work center, drive safety, and ensure high-quality, high-rate production.

You will recruit, mentor, and develop staff, track metrics, and partner with engineering to optimize the line, while maintaining a strong, constructive team culture on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years in final assembly production (aviation/aerospace/mechanical).
• 2+ years of experience leading a team or project.

Responsibilities

• Manage an hourly workforce of technicians and welders; deliver daily assignments and feedback.
• Create and maintain a tight production schedule and daily team tasks.
• Recruit and develop new welders and technicians; provide mentorship.
• Track shop metrics; maximize delivery rate with high asset utilization.
• Collaborate with management and engineering to optimize the production line.
• Lead by example and foster a safe, high-performing shop culture.
• Uphold 5S and safety standards across the shop floor.
• Ensure equipment health and allocate resources to mitigate risks.
