Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Hawthorne, California, is seeking a BUILD SUPERVISOR (BOOSTER STRUCTURES MANUFACTURING) to lead a team of propulsion technicians and welders in a brand-new subassembly center, driving safety, quality, and on-time delivery for rocket propulsion components.

You will create daily schedules, mentor staff, recruit welders, track metrics with engineering, and push continuous improvement while upholding 5S and safety standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of final assembly production experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading a team or a project.

Responsibilities

• Manage an hourly workforce of technicians and welders; deliver daily work assignments and provide feedback.
• Create and maintain a tight production schedule with clear daily assignments.
• Recruit and develop welders and technicians; provide technical mentorship.
• Track shop floor metrics and partner with engineering to maximize delivery rate and yield.
• Collaborate with management and engineering to streamline processes and resolve build issues.
• Lead by example; foster safety, quality, and productivity on the shop floor.
• Drive 5S and continuous improvement culture; ensure PPE use and hazardous condition mitigation.
