Job summary

SpaceX Hawthorne is seeking a Welding Supervisor for the Starship Mechanisms team to lead two shifts in building large stainless-steel structures for orbital variants. You will guide a ~30-person welders and technicians, drive safety and quality, and ensure on-time throughput to support increasing launch rates.

You will shape training, performance management, and process improvements while communicating with engineering and production to meet ambitious schedules.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience managing two shifts and a ~30-person team.
• Experience in assembly or production in aviation/aerospace environments.
• Bachelor's degree or significant hands-on aerospace production experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee two shifts of sheet metal and assembly build center for large stainless-steel structures.
• Recruit, retain, and lead an active team of welders and technicians.
• Foster a safe, productive, and collaborative shop floor culture.
