Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Integration Technician for the Port of Long Beach to support booster processing and handover to refurbishment teams. The role emphasizes outdoor, hands-on work with flight hardware, quality control, and safe operation of heavy equipment.

Ideal candidates bring aerospace experience, robust tool use, and a strong eye for detail. The job requires flexibility across day and night shifts, with rigorous safety and regulatory requirements in a dynamic port environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 2+ years hands-on technician experience in aerospace/aviation/production/oil and gas OR a trade certificate
• Ability to pass Air Force background check for Vandenberg Space Force Base
• Strong communication and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain ground support equipment for booster lifting and transit
• Perform high-pressure operations on boosters (powered or unpowered)
• Carry out large-scale lifting of flight hardware with safety
• Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery accurately
• Troubleshoot and install fluid and electromechanical components from schematics
• Support site preventive maintenance per asset management system
• Collaborate with engineers and leadership on operational improvements
• Adapt to fast-paced shifts and changing roles as needed
• Assist dockside recovery vessel maintenance as required
