Job summary

Carter Lumber in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Boom Truck Operator (CDL Class A) to transport and deliver building materials to local jobsites safely and on schedule using our company fleet. You will operate a boom truck to unload and place materials on residential and commercial sites, maintain delivery schedules, provide friendly customer service, and comply with DOT and company safety rules.

Qualifications

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials.
• Experience operating a boom truck or crane-equipped vehicle preferred
• Ability to safely load, unload, and place materials using boom equipment
• An acceptable driving record and a current CDL license
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player

Description:

As one of our Boom Truck Operators (CDL Class A), you will be responsible for transporting and delivering building materials to local customer jobsites in a safe and timely manner using our well-maintained, company-owned fleet. You will operate a boom truck to unload and place materials in precise locations on residential and commercial jobsites while ensuring all deliveries are completed efficiently and safely. You will maintain daily delivery schedules while providing friendly, professional customer service and adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials
• Experience operating a boom truck or crane-equipped vehicle preferred
• Ability to safely load, unload, and place materials using boom equipment
• An acceptable driving record and a current CDL license
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
