Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Boom Truck Operator (CDL Class A) to transport and deliver building materials to local jobsites, ensuring safety and timeliness. You will operate a boom truck to unload and place materials in precise locations on residential and commercial sites while following DOT rules and company safety standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining delivery schedules, providing professional customer service, and collaborating with teams.

Qualifications

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials.
• Experience operating a boom truck or crane-equipped vehicle preferred.
• Ability to safely load, unload, and place materials using boom equipment.
• An acceptable driving record and a current CDL license.
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred.
• Ability to be a team player.

Description

As one of our Boom Truck Operators (CDL Class A), you will be responsible for transporting and delivering building materials to local customer jobsites in a safe and timely manner using our well-maintained, company-owned fleet. You will operate a boom truck to unload and place materials in precise locations on residential and commercial jobsites while ensuring all deliveries are completed efficiently and safely. You will maintain daily delivery schedules while providing friendly, professional customer service and adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials


• Experience operating a boom truck or crane-equipped vehicle preferred


• Ability to safely load, unload, and place materials using boom equipment


• An acceptable driving record and a current CDL license
