Carter Lumber Company in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a Boom Truck Operator to transport and deliver building materials to local jobsites. You will operate a boom-equipped truck and ensure safe, timely deliveries while providing friendly customer service.

The role emphasizes following DOT and company safety rules, maintaining schedules, and working a regular Mon-Fri schedule with pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Delivery experience with building materials preferred.
• Experience operating a boom crane is a plus.
• Ability to safely load, unload and place materials using boom equipment.

Description

As one of our Boom Truck Operators, you will be responsible for transporting and delivering building materials to local customer jobsites in a safe and timely manner using our well-maintained, company-owned fleet. You will operate a boom truck to unload and place materials in precise locations on residential and commercial jobsites while ensuring all deliveries are completed efficiently and safely. You will maintain daily delivery schedules while providing friendly, professional customer service and adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials
• Experience operating a boom truck or crane-equipped vehicle preferred
• Ability to safely load, unload, and place materials using boom equipment
• An acceptable driving record and a current CDL license (Class A preferred)
• Ability to be a team player
• Full time; Mon-Fri; pay based on experience
