Qualifications

• NCCCO certification and Class A CDL required.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Boom Truck Operator for our I-81 project in Staunton, VA. The position requires NCCCO certification with TSS designation, a Class A driver's license, and experience driving manual transmission vehicles.

Summary: Operates commercial vehicles over 26,000 lbs and non-commercial vehicles under 26,000 lbs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking fluid levels, gauges, tires, lights, mirrors, and overall condition.
2. Perform minor vehicle maintenance such as adjusting tire air pressure or replacing bulbs and fuses.
3. Follow written or oral instructions from supervisors regarding transportation of materials and supplies.
4. Drive safely and responsibly, obeying traffic laws.
5. Load and unload the vehicle, securing and tying down loads appropriately.
6. Complete mileage logs, transfer sheets, and other required documentation.

Education and Experience: Two to four years of related experience and/or training.

Language Skills: Proficiency in English.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

• Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• NCCCO crane certification with TSS designation
• Valid Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner's Certificate
• Clear driving record and successful completion of driver performance test

Expected base pay range: $33.00/hr - $39.00/hr. Compensation considers education, experience, licensure, certifications, location, and internal factors. Benefits include medical, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan.
