Job description

Cleveland Brothers, the largest Cat dealer in Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and western Maryland, has an immediate opportunity for a Crane Operator Boom Truck Driver.

Position Summary:

Join our service experts at our Mahanoy City Location and be part of a team using the latest electronic tooling for diagnostics and repairs for construction equipment service. The position offers a steady dedicated daylight shift. The successful candidate will be required to pass a physical and all applicable tests associated with driving trucks.

Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

• Driver Requirements:
  * Class A CDL License or Class B CDL License
  * Clean MVR
  * Clean Background & Drug Screen
  * Perform pre and post trip DOT inspections
  * MSHA training required.
• The selected candidates will:
  * Ensure load accuracy and securement
  * Drive safely in compliance with all regulations
  * Safely load and unload using an articulated knuckle boom crane, including removing and installing components on large construction equipment
  * Provide courteous and professional customer service
  * Complete all paperwork promptly and accurately
  * Work cooperatively with Field Mechanics
• Additional skills/characteristics/abilities:
  * Excellent and safe driving skills
  * Positive customer service attitude
  * Physical capacity to lift 50 lbs
  * Knowledge of lifting, rigging, load securement

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate articulated crane smoothly to prevent excessive swings and reduce wear
  * Perform timely crane inspections and record data
  * Conduct routine maintenance and lubrication
  * Use depth perception and fine motor skills for crane operation
  * Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues
  * Operate other mobile equipment as needed
  * Lift, move, and position equipment and components such as engines, transmissions, cylinders, tracks, etc.
  * Conduct pre-operational inspections and calculate capacities
  * Follow safety regulations
  * Assist on track press during downtime
